We are deeply saddened to announce that Jenny Urruty passed away on Wednesday 6th May 2020.

Jenny Urruty - Counselling and Psychotherapy
I am an experienced Counsellor and UKCP registered Psychotherapist offering Counselling and Psychotherapy, for individuals and couples, in Derbyshire (town centre location in Chesterfield) and Nottinghamshire (residential area approximately 1 mile from Nottingham City Centre).
Difficulties may arise from our relationships with others, family, friends and colleagues. Problems may arise from a loss or bereavement, sadness and depression or other set-backs.
There are some experiences that we hold onto because we are afraid of letting go, like feelings of inadequacy, never being good enough, or a fear of failure.
Counselling and Psychotherapy may help you to explore and untangle these experiences and difficulties.
Moving Forward, Growth and Change
Letting go is about moving forward, growth and change, having an open mind to the possibilities available to us.
In a storm, trees do not stand upright and rigid but instead they allow themselves to bend and be blown by the wind. It is usually only those branches that continue to remain tall and inflexible, that are broken.
Are you ready to let go? If you are, then you do not have to do this alone. It can be daunting taking those first steps to contact a Counsellor for help. I appreciate that and will try and help you feel at ease and less anxious by giving you the opportunity to talk and be listened to with respect and understanding.

Additional Specialised Support - Alcohol Counsellor
It appears the amount we drink has become a national talking point, with alcohol being associated and forming an explicit part of our social life. Some people decide to cut down or stop drinking altogether and depending on the number of alcohol units being regularly consumed it is advisable not to do this without professional guidance.
Working in the field of alcohol treatment I understand how alcohol misuse can be triggered by many personal factors, providing a relief from anxiety and stress or an escape from numerous emotional difficulties, ranging from past abuse, relationship worries, loneliness and financial pressures. It is not just the drinker who is affected by alcohol a loved one, family member or friend can also be affected. My specialist training that complies with the Drug and Alcohol National Occupational Standards ('DANOS') enables me to provide practical advice and support for those individuals who are having problems related to alcohol and its effects.
My counselling rooms are located in the historic market town of Chesterfield in Derbyshire and Sherwood Rise in Nottingham. Both are within a short walk from bus and rail stations and within easy reach of the M1 Motorway, providing easy access to towns and cities in the area such as Bolsover, Dronfield, Mansfield, Matlock, Newark, Sheffield and Derby.
